This article analyzes the profound meaning of the play “Fei Fu and her friends”. This feminist masterpiece created by the contemporary American playwright Maria Irene Forus reveals the secular and multifaceted women’s issues and fully reveals the general deprecation and masking of female consciousness under the patriarchal fence. The author believes that the playwright is not limited to exposing and propagandizing, and she is also quite insightful about the many cruxes in today’s feminist movement. Her imaginative work, whether it is a unique drama or an open drama, is aimed at breaking down the obsolete single-mindedness of audiences and giving a more holistic view of today’s women’s issues.
