Breast cancer is a common disease. Hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) photodynamic therapy (PDT) can effectively destroy tumors. Determining the effect of HPD on estrogen receptor (ER) provides the necessary basis for clinical treatment. Here, 50 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200 grams were studied and 20 mg of xylylene terephthalate was administered via gastric cannulation. Spontaneous breast tumors occurred in 35 rats. When the tumor reached a diameter of 2 cm, the animals were anesthetized with pentobarbital in the abdominal cavity, and 50% of each tumor was resected.
