In our hospital from 1984 to 1990, 1100 cases of breast cytology were examined, including 4 cases of false positive breast cancer. Pathological diagnosis included plasma cell mastitis in 1 case, ductal papilloma in 1 case, and mastopathy in 2 cases. Another false negative in 2 cases.
