石涛是中国的艺术家,理论家,他的生活及生活背景决定了他的思想高度及其思想体系,以禅宗为依靠,以中国古典哲学和传统文化为土壤,在中国绘画理论中开出一朵奇葩,对后人影响很大,他的重要论说“一画论”及“蒙养生活”论中包含着深刻的哲思。“一画论”不是一个关于技巧的理论,而是一种侧重于建立自性本体的理论,是石涛独创的画学概念,石涛画论体系的核心。“蒙养”“生活”这对概念被石涛在中国古代语言基础上赋予了全新的意义。在当时董其昌曾力倡“南北宗”学说的大氛围中石涛以他的才华异军突起,向现代绘画突进了一步,这也是很值得我们反思和学习。
