流脑通常由A、B、C、Y或W_(135)群脑炎双球菌引起,目前已研制出A、C、Y和W_(135)群四价多糖菌苗,但是,B群多糖作为菌苗还缺乏足够的免疫原性,这可能是由于多糖与人体自身抗原(如脑髓甘油蛋白和类脂化合物)之间发生免疫交叉反应所致。外膜蛋白作为预防B群流脑流行的菌苗很可能是一种适宜的抗原,为了证实哪些外膜蛋白能作为今后菌苗的成份,必须了解血清型以及亚型的分布情况。
The meningitis is usually caused by a group of A, B, C, Y or W_ (135) meningococci. A, C, Y and W_ (135) tetravalent polysaccharide vaccines have been developed. However, Vaccines also lack sufficient immunogenicity, probably due to the immunological cross-reaction between polysaccharides and human autoantigens such as brain-derived glycerol and lipid compounds. Outer membrane protein as a vaccine against the epidemic of Group B meningitis is likely to be a suitable antigen. In order to confirm which of the outer membrane proteins can be used as future vaccine components, it is important to know the serotype and subtype distribution.
