这种养殖礁,是为海藻类、贝类、鱼类繁殖、生长所设计的人工礁。因为以前设置在砂质海底的人工礁,礁底易被潮流冲击成沟穴,出现沉没礁块的现象。另外,以前的人工礁设置没有统一规划,杂乱投放,因受波浪影响而流失或者不能在所要求的范围内正常设置的情况很多。给检查、修理带来了不应有的困难。垫布养殖礁是为解决上述问题而研制、设计的。(附示意图)下边根据实例进行说明。 “单体礁块”是由一块可挠性合成纤维布和若干有孔混凝土块依靠粘合剂粘结在一起而构成,将其专门铺设在海底即是所谓的“垫布养殖礁”。
