棉花抗虫育种的困难之一是抗源贫乏。一些具有抗虫性状的材料往往产量不高或品质不好,用作抗虫育种亲本;利用杂交育种的方法难以打破抗性与产量和品质的相关,利用回交、修饰性回交和复交等方法育种年限又较长,转育的抗虫品系难以与生产上的最新推广品种竞争。因此,筛选新的理想抗源是抗虫育种的当务之急。为了给抗虫育种提供优良亲本,1986年,我们结合武汉市农业局、市棉办组织的棉花新品种(系)联合比较试验,在比较产量等性状的同时,对抗红铃虫和铃病性也进行了鉴定。现将结果整理如下:
