在中国画向多元化发展的当代,中国画传统精神的实质是什么?回顾20世纪以来的中国画实践变革的过程,每次中西方绘画理念发生碰撞冲突时,当发现西方思想体系、文化体系以及西方绘画理念都无法对中国画产生根本影响时,人们才重新理性地对待被冷落的中国画传统精神。回顾上世纪80年代,随着我国的对外开放,在西方文化艺术的冲击下,围绕中国画命运问题的又一场论战正在蓬勃展开,中国画面临“穷途末路”之说已成为当时舆论的主流。
