2007年8月30日,十届全国人大常委会第二十九次会议表决通过了《就业促进法》。该法于2008年1月1日起实施一年多来,取得了一定的成效,但就业歧视作为一个社会性的问题依然存在。性别歧视、年龄歧视、身份歧视、健康歧视、身高歧视等仍是就业的一大障碍。这不仅侵害了广大劳动者平等的劳动就业权,在一定程度上也影响到社会的稳定。法治社会要求政府必须为平等就业提供强有力的法律保障,创造一个有利于平等就业的法律环境和空间,禁止就业歧视。我国
On August 30, 2007, the 29th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress voted to pass the Employment Promotion Law. The law was implemented for more than a year since January 1, 2008 and achieved some success. However, employment discrimination still exists as a social issue. Gender discrimination, age discrimination, identity discrimination, health discrimination and height discrimination are still major barriers to employment. This not only infringes upon the broad workforce's equal right to work and employment, but also affects the social stability to a certain extent.
