[Objective] To induce the callus from P.cuspidatum leaves and to determine the content of resveratrol.[Method] P.cuspidatum leaves as tissue culture materials were induced on MS induction medium containing 0.2 mg/L 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) and 1 mg/L 6-amino-benzyl adenine(6-BA) at 28 ℃ and dark.15 d later, the induced callus was transferred to the same culture medium for 15 d,which were transferred 3 times.Subsequently, the callus was cut and then cultured in the same medium for three times. The content of resveratrol in the callus induced from P.cuspidatum leaves was determined by HPLC.[Result] The callus induced from P.cuspidatum leaves grew well, and its resveratrol content was determined at 0.24 mg/g.[Conclusion] The HPLC method was simple.Convenient, quick and accurate to determine the content of resveratrol in P.cuspidatum leaves.

[Result] The callus induced from P.cuspidatum leaves grew well, and its resveratrol content was determined at 0.24 mg / g. [Conclusion] The HPLC method was simple. Confluent, quick and accurate to determine the content of resveratrol in P. cuspidatum leaves.
