“Pianist” Adapted from a biography by Polish playwright Ronald Harwood on the Polish Jewish survivor Wallaz Slough Spielman during World War II. The film tells the story of a talented Polish Jewish pianist who was hiding from the Nazis during World War II. He was suffering from hunger and humiliation in the Jewish quarter of Warsaw and was threatened with death all day long. He escaped the carpet search, hiding in the ruins of the city. Fortunately, his musical talent touched a German officer. Under the risking protection of the officers, the pianist finally ended the war and ushered in the dawn of freedom. The movie reveals the themes of survival, human nature and non-masculinity with a grim narrative style and dignified documentary style.
