Amalgam restorations often cause cusp fractures to wide dove tail isthmuses or to internal sharp lines, and microleakage is common. Adhesive restorations are effective in restoring the strength of teeth with more tooth damage and reduce microleakage. Authors' studies have shown that silver-mercury restorations are designed with a glass-free adhesive (glass-based) base and acid-treated in a non-retentive design and coated with a layer of Panavia resin unless the tooth itself breaks and the restoration does not Off. Staninec et al also believe that the adhesive repair can shrink the cavity, providing intracoronary support, and enhance the restoration of the anti-fracture force, so that the past only by casting inlay form of dental restoration can also be quickly and securely repaired by amalgam.
