In January 2008, Guizhou suffered a rare, persistent, freeze-thaw weather in a hundred years, hindering a wide range of rail, road and air transport. Serious natural disasters blocked the way and closed the airport, but they did not obstruct the expectations of travelers returning home. In the face of successive closure of the airport, frequent cancellation of flights and unfavorable factors such as large numbers of passengers being stranded, the Guiyang Sales Department urgently launched the disaster weather protection plan and set up a 24-hour on-site duty system to promptly mobilize the sales department personnel to reinforce the airport service.
