On the edge of a farm in Suffolk, England, there is a Scottish building. The narrow, flat roof gives the building enough body volume to respond adequately to the corresponding dimensions of the existing barn and the old dairy factory. The long-standing spatial structure expresses the metamorphosis of a pasture to arable land and enclosing private gardens. Built on a gravelly heights, the house is slightly raised and the building is well adapted to the gentle slope from east to west, providing an interior garden with an open view of the surrounding landscape.
