Deutz MWM公司近年已推出16缸柴油机,计以前的6、8和12缸机,现已形成了604B系列。该系列机的功率覆盖面为420~1930kW,转速为1000~1800r/min。此机不仅单位容积功率大、比重量小,而且燃油消耗率低得令人钦佩,它仅为190g/(kW·h)(139.8g/ps·h),此机适合作为高速船主机。缸盖上有四个气阀,进气有优化的涡旋装置,保证发动机在较宽的部分负荷范围内运行时,燃油费用都比较经济。该发动机适合于经常在低负荷下运行,可在负荷低达小于20%最大负荷下工作。这样就提出一个问题,势必增加低质油的燃用量,所以DeutzMWM公司目前开发工作致力于研究改善发动机在苛刻的低工况运行时燃烧重质燃油的难题。
In recent years, Deutz MWM has introduced a 16-cylinder diesel engine, counting the previous 6, 8 and 12-cylinder engines and has now formed the 604B series. The engine is suitable for frequent low-load operation and can operate at loads as low as less than 20% of maximum load. This raises the question of the inevitable increase in the amount of low-quality fuel that DeutzMWM is currently working on to address the problem of improving the combustion of heavy fuels when the engine is operating in harsh, low operating conditions.
