上一讲,提及老海的世界游戏。这一讲,我拟讨论伽达默的循环阐释,以及随之而来的德国接受美学。以上新学,曾于上世纪90年代风行中国。由于是舶来洋货,这一路文论始终在国内半生半熟。提醒大家:钱钟书自20世纪40年代起,精研海伽之学,沟通中西诠释,形成他独树一帜的通学之论,以及一种觑巧通变的阅读、理解、阐释方法。这一支兼有中西所长的中国阐释学,其意义重大,决不在老海师生之下。在此,请容我先以简洁方式,介绍先生之通学境界如下:钱钟书《谈艺录》申明其治学方法:“东海西海,心理攸同;南学北学,道术未裂。”如何打通中西?钱氏秘诀,首先在于双方对话,求同存异,继以互释互证,凸现双方共同之诗心文理。其次,他强调突破专业局限,破除语言樊篱,贯穿人文各科。既然人文各科密不可分,我们就必须“穷尽力气,欲使小说、诗歌、戏剧,与哲学、历史、社会学等为一家”。而这正是本文难以备述的另一“余波”。
