Opogona sacchari (Bojer) is a newly introduced important quarantine pest in our country, which poses a serious threat to flower production, landscaping and the economic crop production in South China. The Lepidoptera, Lepidoptera, Hieroxestidae, Opogona and Broad-band moth-boring bulimia have recorded 22 host families and 49 species of host plants, including some valuable ornamental plants such as Brazil woody [ Dracena fragrans (L.)], Pachira and cash crops such as sugar cane, bananas and the like. The insects in Barbados, South America more than sugarcane damage than the sugarcane borer Diatraea saccharalis, banana in the Canary Islands in Africa caused devastating damage. Therefore, many countries have listed it as an important quarantine object. China formally reported in 1997 that this insect was found in Beijing. The insect source was Brazilian wood from Guangzhou Beiyun. The author’s preliminary investigation in Guangzhou and its neighboring counties and cities showed that, apart from its main damage to Brazil wood and Pachira, the host range of this insect has been extended to
