1998年11月,一条我国自行设计制造的新型导弹护卫舰下水了,1999年12月正式编入人民海军战斗序列,被命名为海军“宜昌”舰。该舰入列后先后迎接了48国驻华武官和三位外国高级将领的参观访问,赢得了国际友人和各级首长的高度赞扬。参加了6次重大军事演习任务和10次大型评比活动,多次单舰执行重大任务,被誉为“南海尖刀”。“宜昌”舰组建五年多来,官兵们同心协力,圆满地完成了各项重大任务,先后荣立集体三等功一次,多次被表彰为基层教育管理先进单位、基层建设先进单位和装备管理先进单位。
In November 1998, a new type of guided missile frigate designed and manufactured by our country was launched into the water.
