In the UK, more than 100,000 people die from cancer every year. At present, there are a number of trials that specifically examine cancers in various organs, but there is no general method for examining various types of cancer. US researchers have discovered a blood test that can identify malignant or benign tumors, other diseases, or people who are completely healthy. This test is based on the proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) principle of certain lipids in plasma.
