高等职业教育以技术应用性人才为培养目标,强调以能力为本位,突出实践性教学。公共计算机课包括《计算机文化基础》、《Visual FoxPro程序设计基础》、《网页设计》等计算机基础课程,都是实践性很强的课程,上机课时通常都不少于理论课时,要求学生必须亲自去“动手”去实践。但高职学生的学习自觉性、合作意识普遍不强,在公共计算机课的教学中特别是在上机实训课中学生之间推行协作学习,有利于激发高职学生的学习热情,同时也培养了他们的合作意识和团队精神,以便在他们今后的职业生涯中也能保持这种与他人合作的精神;计算机教师之间的协作有利于优化教学资料、共享教学资源;专业课教师与计算机课教师之间的协作有利于计算机工具和专业问题相结合,帮助学生把计算机知识和技能更好地应用于专业领域,解决实际的专业问题。
