艾玛是法国批判现实主义作家福楼拜《包法利夫人》中资产阶级妇女的典型形象,安娜是俄国批判现实主义作家列夫·托尔斯泰《安娜·卡列尼娜》中上层贵族的典型形象。艾玛与安娜虽处在不同国家、不同阶层,却有着相似的人生经历和情感追求,在追求理想的爱情生活中最终都以失败而告终,但是她们毕竟是不同国家、不同文化背景下拥有不同身份和地位的两个女性,她们的人生观、爱情观以及造成她们悲剧的原因各不相同,本文就从多方面比较分析探究造成其悲剧的主要原因,更加深刻认识她们所蕴涵的个人魅力和艺术价值。
