Perioperative cataract removal of the peripheral iris were observed by light and transmission electron microscopy. No endothelial cells were found on the anterior surface of the iris. Iris stromal pigment cells and microvascular endothelial cells to see the same direction along the long axis of the cell bundles of filaments. There are four different collagen fibers in the matrix. The preputial cells of the pigment epithelium give rise to smooth muscle processes in the deeper layers of the stroma.
