橡胶树年干物质产量多少,关系到胶树当年产胶分配比例.过去人们对这个问题,重视不够,至六十年代中期,马来西亚的肖罗克斯(V·M·Shorrocks),在516株疏伐胶树中,测定各部位鲜重和含水率,从而推算各部分干重,并由此求得各无性系通用的地上干重(Y·公斤),依树围(X·厘米,距接合点150厘米处)而变化的对数回归方程式(以下简称为通用式)为:Logy=2.7826Logx-2.5843自从肖罗克斯确立这一通用回归方程式后,国内外开展橡胶干物质合成与分配的研究都是按照这一通用公式估算,推动了这一研究工作的发展.根据华南热作研究院1978年于该院试验场九队GT_1品系的试验树位实测,配合树围与地上部分干重的回归方程式(以下简称为院1式)为:
