对美国物理学会、Cell出版社以及美国化学学会出版的70余种国外科技期刊网站主页进行了调查和分析。发现各刊主页内容设计都以重点论文推荐为主;在论文传播中编辑以更为直观和简洁的方式对论文信息进行表达;隶属相同出版机构的期刊主页布局风格一致,并且各刊群着力打造自身的特色;页面的功能设计强调多媒体性和交互性。经分析发现在科技期刊主页设计中值得借鉴的设计思路有:以读者为中心的设计理念贯穿始终,期刊的编辑深入参与到网站主页内容的生产之中,主页风格设计采用刊群模式。
