蚌埠三中党支部，发动师生围绕教学结合生产开展“四化”运动，自3月份到目前止，实现技术革新一百多项，其中较重大的有四十二项，使机械化半机械化程度由原来的25％提高到40％，大大减轻了体力劳动，提高生产效率一至三十倍。在铸锻车间，师生根据运动学和动力学的原理、滑轮组和齿轮减速的原理，以铸铁轨和铸铁块代替角铁和工字钢，制成了砸铁机（用来把大块生铁坯砸断），每天三人操作，能砸生铁毛坯十吨左右， The Yusan Central Party Branch launched teachers and students to carry out “four modernizations” around teaching and production.
