人在生长发育阶段,有着不同的生理特点,这些生理特点总会在肢体方面得到反映,特别是在少儿阶段就更加明显。比如:7-13岁是灵活性提高幅度最大的年龄段。于是,运动学家便得出这样的结论,即认为,7-13岁是培养协调技术和灵活性的最佳时期,这个阶段,其大脑皮层和延髓中枢神经也是最为活跃的时期。也就是说,7-13岁最适宜学习专项运动中最难掌握的技术动作和要领,并适时规范其在自然状态下的各种错误的“习惯”动作。据此,我认为对于田径运动训练,在7-13岁(有的可以扩大到15岁)这个年龄段,主要应以掌握技术为重点,并应该根据这一缺点,制定出一套相应的训练计划。
