  Seeing Liu Zhaoping’s painting, people will first absolutely get stunned, by his inspiration and talent. Although he has never received academic training of any kinds, by virtue of his dedication and savvy, Liu Zhaoping has successfully paved his own road of being a landscape painting master. For over 40 years, he has been dedicated to the creation of amazing and fantastic art pieces highly acclaimed among artists and collectors.
  In 1950, Liu Zhaoping was born in Tinglan, Tsingtao, Shandong. With a born passion for painting and calligraphy, in 1969, Liu apprenticed with Fang Jizhong, Dean of Shaanxi Painting Academy and a representative of Changan painting genre, to learn traditional Chinese painting. Fang Zhongji’s concepts of “embodying spirit in forms” and Changan painting genre’s creation concept of integrating life and art have both left deep impressions on Liu. His almost 20 years of life experience in Inner Mongolia also helps a lot. Liu Zhaoping’s art pieces have been permeated with splendorous and traditional charm, which have won him recognition all over China. His masterpieces include: The Wilderness Covered by Snow, Standing on the East, Snow Stops in the Sacred Site, the Colt, the Annual Rings and the Spring River.
  In 1985, Liu Zhaoping became a member of Chinese Artists Association, and in 1987, he was appointed as the Director of Hohhot Painting and Calligraphy Institute. In 1988, he went to Japan for Art Symposium and his personal exhibition. His paintings of the Autumn and the Crane were purchased by Japanese collectors. In 2008, Liu was nominated as one of the “200 artists with the greatest representativeness in the last 30 years”. Now, he is a member of the Authenticity of Scientific Appraisal Committee, Executive Chairman of International Creative Industries Alliance, Dean of the Capital Calligraphy and Painting Institute, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Cultural Management Institution and Senior Art Consultant of International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization Ecological Art Committee.
