英国铁路应用Loctite 601绝氧粘结剂成功地修复已腐蚀的柴油机气缸体。在市郊动车组用的180马力和220马力柴油机中,腐蚀发生在固定和密封湿式气缸套用的气缸体凸缘上,而使冷却水漏入机油中。为了恢复气缸体到原尺寸,先将已腐蚀的凸缘镗去,然后换上固定和密封气缸套用的不锈钢薄镶环。如用压入配合,则镶环会变形,并在压合后需要进行精加工。因此采用滑动配合,并用Loctite 601粘结剂使镶环粘接在适当的位置上。
British Rail Loctite 601 oxygen barrier adhesive successfully repaired corroded diesel engine block. In the 180 hp and 220 hp diesel engines used in suburban EMUs, corrosion occurs on the flanges of the cylinder blocks that hold and seal the wet cylinder liner, causing coolant to leak into the engine oil. To restore the cylinder block to its original size, the corroded flanges were first bored and replaced with a stainless steel thin collar for the fixed and sealed cylinder liners. If pressed fit, the ring will be deformed, and after lamination need to be finished. Therefore, a sliding fit is used and the collar is bonded in place with Loctite 601 adhesive.
