溴敌隆是上海泰和化工厂独家生产的第二代抗凝血杀鼠剂。具有鼠不拒食、灭鼠效率高、对畜禽安全、使用方便、防治成本低（每亩农田0.3—0.4元,每户庭院1—2元）、经济效益好等优点。而且药效稳定,毒饵药效较其它急性杀鼠毒饵时间长,没有二次中毒现象,深受群众欢迎。 1991—1992年,丹东市在前阳、马家店、毛甸子等11个乡镇的5000亩农田、6000户庭院用溴敌隆毒饵防治了花生、大豆、甜瓜、水稻软盘育苗、保护地蔬菜、人参园和养鸡场等处的黑线仓鼠、黑线姬鼠、花鼠及褐家鼠,效果普遍在85％以上,高者达98.8％。
