On a sunny day in July 1969, cheering crowds squeezed the streets of Huntsville, Alabama. They are celebrating the most exciting accomplishments of the 20th century: the safe return of the Apollo-11, signaling the completion of the first manned lunar landing. Residents of Huntsville certainly have reason to cheer: NASA’s Marshall Space Center is in their town. It is exactly here that the most outstanding rocket scientist in the world has designed the “Saturn V” rocket to make lunar landing possible. Among these scientists, the most talented person is the 57-year-old German immigrant, Wayne Hull von Braun, whose intelligence and endless imagination have convinced the United States to victory in this lunar landing.
