我国的设计教育从1982年的启蒙时期开始,至今已有十六个年头了。虽然已取得了长足的进步和可喜的成绩(这一点可从连续举办的两届《平面设计在中国》、国内外获奖的设计作品及在社会中取得良好社会效果和商业效果的优秀的设计作品中明显看到),但是现实仍然不容乐观,我们还必须痛心地、情醒地看到我国的设计教育目前依然处在一个初级阶段。这主要由于以下几点原因: 一、我国三十多年所形成和所建立的,以装饰为主要目的的工艺美术教育体系,还没有完全、彻底地转化为理性主义的、为社会大众服务的现代设计教育体系。工艺美术和现代设计这两种教育体系,目前还是以一种共存的状态,存在于我国的设计教育之中。在工艺美术教育体系下培养的那一代人不仅没有退出历史舞台,而且还代表着设计教育的主流。在1982年的启蒙时期开始后培养的一代人形成了一种混合的状态,这些人既接受了工艺美术教育体系的培养,又接受了现代设计教育体系的初步教育,目前是设计教育的中间力量,他们扮演妥协、调和角色的同时,
