Since 2012, Cheng began to create paintings and images about “white male”. Although these naked and muscular men became the dominant themes of her paintings, we can observe in these loving images that the characters in the paintings are actually more like the models in fashion magazines. We seem to know very well the story of these characters, but we know it too well: the whole story is often not as pleasing as the rest of the moment.
