Introduction Ambulatory patient electrocardiographic recordings are generally performed under the following conditions: (1) Patient undergoing active floor loading test; (2) 24-hour ECG recording of ambulatory patient using Holter monitor tape. We developed a wearable ECG monitor with a microcomputer that continuously monitors the electrocardiogram over several weeks. False artifacts resulting from ambulatory patient activity affect the fidelity of the recorded ECG data and also make the detection of QRS complex problematic.
