Se (VI) and Se (VI) measurements were necessary to illustrate the distribution of selenium oxidation states in various waters in the environment. Se (VI) can be determined by the distillative reduction of concentrated hydrochloric acid or hydrobromic acid to Se (IV). This method requires a lot of environmental samples is very troublesome. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a method for the direct separation and determination of Se (VI). The authors synthesized bismuth reagent-II sulfonate (abbreviated as bis-IIS) with 4-hydrazinobenzenesulfonic acid and carbon disulfide and mixed its aqueous solution with anion exchange resin to make anion exchange resin with certain functions.
