With the extensive use of loading machinery in wood loading and unloading work, rationally determining the number of loading machines has become an urgent issue to be resolved. For a lumber yard, if there are too many loading machines, investment will be increased and idle equipment will be wasted; if there are too few loading machines, the number of vehicles waiting for loading and unloading will increase, and the waiting cost (loss of fees) will increase. How many loaders are equipped with the machine is considered reasonable? Based on the optimal theory of system design, this paper uses the standard M/M/C model to quantitatively analyze this.
