邓小平的新社会主义观以马克思主义为指导,立足于中国的特殊国情,又面向世界,从现实出发,又放眼未来,根据世情、国情、社情的新变化,第一次系统而科学地回答了“什么是社会主义、怎样建设社会主义”等问题,在此基础上,对中国特色社会主义道路、中国特色社会主义理论体系、中国特色社会主义制度作出了符合中国国情的解释,坚持邓小平新社会主义观对当前坚定不移地走社会主义道路,建设社会主义新农村,构建和谐社会,开创中国特色社会主义建设新局面有重大的现实意义。
