厦门国际中心主塔楼高度为339.88m,主体结构由外框矩形钢管混凝土柱框架、避难层桁架及混凝土核心筒共同形成主要受力体系。针对厦门国际中心钢结构施工技术进行了研究和探讨,采用柱脚支撑架支撑钢柱脚安装,其最大变形和最大应力均足设计要求。钢柱采用吊装和安装耳板辅助安装,通过螺栓将连接夹板与安装耳板进行临时连接。自行设计和使用了一种钢结构翻身支座,可辅助巨型钢柱进行90°翻身且受力均匀,避免了较大晃动冲击塔吊。钢板剪力墙通过钢扁担采用两吊点或多吊点进行吊装,纵横双向加劲板和竖直方向连接板的设置提高了安装精度。这些技术措施有效地保证了厦门国际中心钢结构工程的安装精度、工程质量和施工安全。
