多敏化掺钬氟化钇锂是目前唯一可在室温条件下产生2·06微米激光的低阈值、高效率的激光晶体。近年来,美国陆军电子指挥部等单位对这种晶体非常重视,对材料本身、与之配用的泵浦,使用这种材料的器件都做了大量工作,并已用于手提式激光测距机。该晶体的基质为氟化钇锂(LiYF_4),激活离子为钬(Ho~(3+)),敏化离子为铒(Er~(3+))、铥(Tm~(3+))、镱(Yb~(3+))等。多敏化掺钬氟化钇锂常简写为αβYLF或LiRF_4。其组成为LiY(l-x-y-z)Er_x Tm_y Ho_zF_4,代表成份为LiY_(0.416)Er_(0.5) Tm_(0.067) Ho_(0.017) F_4。
Multi-sensitized doped holmium Yttrium lithium fluoride is currently the only low-threshold, high-efficiency laser crystal that produces a laser of 2.06 microns at room temperature. In recent years, the United States Army Electronic Command and other units attach great importance to this kind of crystal, a lot of work has been done on the material itself, its associated pump, devices using this material, and has been used for portable laser ranging machine. The matrix of the crystal is LiYF_4, the active ions are Ho ~ 3+, the sensitized ions are Er ~ 3+ and Tm ~ 3+, Ytterbium (Yb ~ (3+)) and so on. Multi-sensitized doped holmium yttrium lithium fluoride often abbreviated as αβYLF or LiRF_4.
