Wolf Mountain, located in Bayannaoer League in the west of Inner Mongolia, belongs to the Yinshan Mountain Range and is characterized by complex geological structure, frequent magmatic activities and good metallogenic conditions, and is a promising polymetallic metallogenic belt dominated by copper, lead and zinc. Wolf Mountain is located in the transitional zone between the Sino-North Korea quasi-platform and the Mongolia Xingan Trough fold belt, and is offset by the northern edge of Taipei (formerly known as the Weakening Belt.) The exposed strata are mainly the Proterozoic Langshan Group (Pt) The underlying stratigraphy is the former Sinian Alashan group, and the local lots are exposed
