教育的核心是提升学生的素质,培养学生的品格。英语教育的核心是培养学生的英语修养,提升学生的英语素质,这是学生全面发展成为新型人才的重要组成部分。现实生活实践越来越深刻地显示人的英语素质的重要性。因此有效地提升学生的英语修养水平,以适应时代发展的要求,是摆在我们英语教育工作者面前需要深刻研究的课题。学生英语修养水平的提升,主要是在教学过程中通过教和学的各个环节来实现的,所以我们要抓住并创造教和学的各个契机,充分发挥教师的主导作用和学生的主体地位,促成学生学习英语认识上的飞跃,从而达到提升英语素质的目的。具体地说,我们应注意以下几点。
