Beihai Port has become the port of China’s foreign trade since the beginning of Qinhan. Due to the imperialist invasion in the 19th century, it was turned into a port for foreign trade and became a semi-feudal and semi-colonial port and was in a backward state before the liberation from the natural port. In the early days of the liberation, the old port was unable to meet the needs of socialist construction. Under the leadership of the party, in 1954, the Beihai people relied on their own efforts to build a new port and gradually built a living area that would refuse to shore up, storage yard, warehouse and staff. At present, Beihai Port has begun to take shape. With an area of 231.5 hectares and a warehouse area of 25,000 square meters, there are 59 loading and unloading machines and 23 ports for shipping. The various foreign service agencies are quite complete. In 1983, 3,025 ships were shipped to Hong Kong. The highest tonnage was 30,000 tons, having been traded with 132 ports in 61 countries and regions, making the North Harbor more famous among Southeast Asian and Western peoples.
