Neopentyl glycol(NPG)is an impor-tant chemical raw material.It ismainly used to produce saturatedpolyester resin for powder coatings,unsaturated polyester resin,polyes-ter polyols,esters for syntheticlubricants,plasticizers and alkydresins.Its derivatives can also beused in spices,pharmaceuticals,flame-retarding agents,aviation lu-bricants and ink insulation materials.
