随着中国外贸的蓬勃发展,越来越多的跨国航运公司将其在华发展纳入全球战略的重要一环,他们纷纷在中国投入更多更大型的船舶、不断增加挂靠港口,开辟多条航线。这无疑加剧了中国国际航运市场竞争的激烈程度。为了掌握稳定的资源,控制服务质量,降低交易成本,船公司近年来往往通过加强与货主、其他运输方式(铁路、公路、航空)企业的联合以及加大对航运主要环节如代理、港口等的控制的方式,即实施一体化发展战略,来提升自己的竞争力。
