Objective: To investigate the role of carotid and lower extremity arteriosclerosis in predicting type 2 diabetes with coronary heart disease. Methods: Totally 90 patients with type 2 diabetes treated in our hospital from February 2011 to February 2015 were divided into two groups: coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (n = 44) and non-coronary Atherosclerotic heart disease group (non-coronary heart disease group, n = 46), two groups of patients using color Doppler ultrasound to detect carotid and lower extremity arteriosclerosis in patients with two groups were observed carotid atherosclerosis Grading and lower extremity arteriosclerosis. Results: In patients with coronary heart disease, carotid atherosclerosis and lower extremity atherosclerosis were significantly higher in patients with coronary heart disease than in those without coronary heart disease (P <0.05). Conclusions: Carotid artery and lower extremity arteriosclerosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with coronary heart disease are closely related. Carotid and lower extremity arteriosclerosis may predict type 2 diabetes with coronary heart disease.
