为民谋利的银行家1888年,周小燕的父亲周苍柏出生在湖北武昌一个工商世家。他早年在汉口文华学堂读书时,就加入同盟会。后因参与学潮,被当局追捕,不得已来到上海,进入南洋公学(即后来的交通大学)读书,毕业后赴美国留学,就读于纽约大学银行系,获商学士学位。学业结束后,他抱着一腔救国热情回到祖国。受著名银行家陈光甫的邀请,他主持上海商业储蓄银行(简称上海银行)
Banker for the Benefit of the People In 1888, Zhou Xiaoban’s father Zhou Cangbai was born in Wuhu, Hubei, a business family. When he was studying at Hankow Mandarin School in his early years, he joined the League. After participating in the tide of study, he was hunted down by the authorities and forced to study in Nanyang Public School (later Jiaotong University). After graduation, he went to study in the United States and studied at the New York University banking department with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. After completing his studies, he returned to his motherland with a cavity of enthusiasm for national salvation. By the famous banker Chen Guangfu’s invitation, he presided over Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank (referred to as the Bank of Shanghai)
