舒城生姜是安徽舒城县的农家品种,种植历史悠久,据舒城县志记载,远在唐朝即有栽培.该品种由于其肉质松脆,辣香味浓,纤维少,品质佳,被广泛用作调味品,并加工成姜制品.合肥、长丰、安庆等十几个市县均引种栽培,适应性强.一、特征特性植株生长势较强,株丛高75—85cm,茎粗1.2cm,有分蘖茎10—12条,成丛状排列,茎枝丛生角度小.叶披针形,长20cm、宽2.5cm.深绿色.地下茎较肥大,表面光滑,长5.5cm、宽3.2cm,皮肉均黄色,嫩芽粉红色.单株产姜0.4—0.5kg,亩产1500—2000kg.生长期长,较耐热耐旱,不耐涝.
