祿豐蜥龍動物羣的發見,已是十多年前的事。最近人民日報上在偉大的祖國欄中,刊登了祿豐龍的照片(就是最完整的那一架)後,人民日報与科学大衆的讀者,來信詢問發见經过與研究結果的很多。因此我就應科學大衆編者的囑託,再為介紹一下。介紹着重在發掘的經过和在學術上的意義,這樣可以使我們對於這一發見有更深刻的認識和了解。關於恐龍的詳細知識,可以參考一般地質或古生物圖書,這里不再多敍。
