多元智能理论是由美国哈佛大学发展心理学家加德纳(Howard Gardner)提出的。他认为人的智能是多元的,而不是单一的,除了语言智能、数理逻辑智能两种基本智能以外,还有其他7种智能,即音乐智能、空间智能、身体运动智能、人际交往智能、自然观察智能和存在智能等。每个学生都不同程度的拥有上述九种基本智能,只是这九种智能在每一个人身上以不同的方式、不同的程度组合存在,使得每个人的智能都具有特色。因此,世界上并不存在谁聪明谁不聪明的问题,即学校里无所谓“差生”的存在,每个学生都是独特
