近读曹禺先生日记,在1980年10月的一篇中写有:“剧作家应该是思想家。”重视思想性,本是戏剧的题中之意。话剧尤其需要强调思想。我国的话剧是新文化运动和革命文艺的先锋和中坚。重视思想性是中国话剧的优秀传统。强调思想性并不等于轻视艺术性,两者是相辅相成,互为依存的关系。戏剧的思想性蕴含、体现于艺术性之中,若艺术性不足道,思想性就放了空。由于现在话剧的思想性太不受重视,或者重视了而没多少价值,这是研讨所谓戏剧危机应
