北京手表厂是1958年兴建的国有大型轻工骨干企业,30多年来,上缴国家利税7.16亿元,为投资的8.3倍,曾为国家作出过重大贡献。但在市场竞争日益激烈的冲击下,显得很不适应。从1987年开始,产品积压,企业连年亏损,到1991年,累计亏损2526万元,欠税2900万元。为了摆脱困境,上级领导机关曾做过不少努力,调整领导班子七、八次,从国内外招聘厂长,但都没有奏效,以致发展到我厂所属的电子表分厂于1992年3月被东安集团兼并。
Beijing Watch Factory is a state-owned large-scale light industrial backbone enterprise built in 1958.
